No PSP2 or PSP Phone announcements out of Sony, News from GamePro

We sat through 3D images we couldn't see via Livestream and a painfully long Elvis routine for what turned out to be an Uncharted 3 trailer. Worth it?

By March, more than 50 million US TV screens will be internet-enabled by Sony devices like PS3.#CES#Sonyless than a minute agoviaTweetDeck

The real interesting stat here would be how many of those 50 million people use PS3s versus how many use non-gaming Sony devices.

And how many of themare in Home? Hm.

This livestream of the press conference would probably go over better in 3D.#CES#Sonyless than a minute agoviaTweetDeck

Seriously.

Oh, here we go... is it the PS Phone?!#CES#Sonyless than a minute agoviaTweetDeck

Us and all the rest of Twitter tweeted this exact thing.

Then reality kicked us all in the collective face:

This is the part where they showed a 3D Uncharted 3 trailer. Drake reads from a passage in a book, winds up stranded in the desert. Yeah, we could totally seeMark Wahlbergdoing all of this.

Couldn't be arsed to Google this while straining for a PSP2 announcement, so it's nice Hirai handed out a reminder.

This right here is as close as we'll get a PSP2 or a PSP Phone announcement from Sony at CES 2011. That sound you hear is our heart breaking.

Next year, bring backTaylor Swift.
