The holidays provided plenty of opportunities to receive new games and plenty of time to play them. We asked our Twitter followers to talk about both.
The GamePro editors returned to the office today after a holiday break spent enjoying new games. With many of our 23,000-plus Twitter followers having similar time off, we polled them to see what they enjoyed during the holidays. Here's the question we posed:
The holidays are a great time for gaming--did you get anything good? What did you play during your time off? Best answers posted on our site
A few followers used the extended time off to delve into deep games. Here are the followers that vacationed in the world of games:
@GameProI played Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption.
@GameProI finished up Epic Mickey , played a bunch of Donkey Kong Country Returns and Mega Man 9 and Mega Man 10 !
@GameProGot an @ASTROGamingscout backpack! Played AC:B, Fallout: New Vegas, and made the boys cry in#CallOfDutyBlack Ops. :)
For many, the holidays are about spending time with family. These users reflected that sentiment with their holiday gaming recollections:
@GameProI bought my girlfriend a Wii for Christmas. And now, I have someone to play games with. Best. Christmas. Ever.
@GamePromy amazing, geeky gf got me StarCraft 2...and then my pc died.
However you spent your holidays--whether games were involved or not--we hope you enjoyed your time off and have a pleasant 2011 in store. With the caliber of games coming this year, we have a feeling everyone will have something to look forward to.
