Blog Andriasang reports that the iOS version of Final Fantasy III is a port of the 2006 Nintendo DS version. That, ladies and gents, is your top story for today.
Andriasang's report comes from the latest issue of Famitsu -- that same issue that introduces the mag'snew Nintendo 3DS review scores system. Famitsu says thatFinal Fantasy IIIfor the iPhone is getting a high definition visual makeover, a sound update, and the virtual d-pad treatment in addition to attack-taps for the battle portions of the game. The release window for the port is still"March"for Japan.
Is it news? Not really -- more like a second hand preview. Still, good to know we're getting a port of the new hotness and not the old spites. True, there's something to be said for nostalgia; but the 2006 gamewas pretty good.
